  • 2x Permanent full-time and one 2 year temporary opportunity.
  • Location Albury, Dubbo, Grafton, Newcastle, Parramatta + negotiable Statewide
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $97,933 to $108,202 + super and leave loading

Exciting opportunities exist within the Remote Sensing and Regulatory Mapping Team in roles that will guide and deliver environmental remote sensing products across the agency. The Remote Sensing and Regulatory Mapping Team values a culture of shared knowledge and skills, working collaboratively from a range of locations across NSW.


About You

The Remote Sensing Scientist will contribute to multiple programs, responsible for the delivery of a range of high quality remote sensing products that support environmental outcomes for NSW government. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved with Statewide monitoring of native vegetation change, supporting the implementation of environmental regulation and delivering satellite imagery to NSW state government to support natural hazards and monitoring programs.


Essential Requirements

  • A degree in Science or other relevant discipline.
  • Experience with GIS and\or remote sensing programs and spatial data management.
  • Experience working with environmental datasets.

Desirable: Experience in scripting in python or linux.
